The Summer Quasi-Tour

It’s the height of presumption to think that anyone out there might be interested in meeting me, but … y’know … if you were interested in meeting me, you could come along to one of these upcoming events:

The Cymera Festival: Edinburgh, June 7-9

I’m thrilled to be on the programme for this, the inaugural Cymera Festival of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Writing! I’m on just after noon on the Saturday, in the midst of a frankly astonishing line-up of literary giants. Hopefully this will be the first of many.

Theorizing Zombiism: UCD, July 25-27

Another first (never let it be said that I don’t try to get in on the ground floor), Theorizing Zombiism is the first Irish academic conference of its kind, dedicated to ravenous reanimants, dancing draugr and creeping cadavers. The final programme is TBC, but a little bird tells me that there will be drinks, table quizzes and similar shenanigans. Bookmark their site for further developments.

WorldCon 2019: Convention Centre Dublin, August 15-19

This year, the 77th World Science Fiction Convention comes to Dublin, and Molly Malone’s fair city ain’t gonna know what hit it (sidebar: Fair City  should totally do a WorldCon episode). The final programme hasn’t been put together yet, so I don’t know if I’ll be on it, but I’ll be hanging around either way. If you see me, come over and say hi!
